There is a story about Lord Shiva in Puranas that he went into deep meditation for several years. When he opened his eyes after several years, few drops of tears rolled down from his eyes. Those tears when fell down on the earth they turned into Rudraksha tree. The fruit of these Rudraksha trees is what we call Rudraksha. Lord Shiva himself distributed those Rudraksha to the devotee of Vishnu and people of four varna. These are holy seeds which carry spiritual energy very highly and cut the suffering and pain of the individual who wears them. It helps in maintaining the blood pressure, bless with peace and purify the mind. In Shiva Purana, it is said that Rudraksha is capable of burning all the papa of past and present.

Rudrakshas show its full effect when you get it from some spiritual person as a blessing or gift. When you buy them then is not considered that much useful, same is true with Sahligram shila and Narmadeshvara also. So when you buy them from the market, you do not get the full benefit of them. So when you buy them and wear them, you do not feel the promised result. To keep this in mind, we do not sell Rudraksha, but we provide them as prasadam. When you order a puja, then you get Rudraksha as prasadam.

It helps in maintaining the blood pressure, bless with peace and purify the mind. In Shiva Purana, it is said that Rudraksha is capable of burning all the papa of past and present.

There are many types of Rudraksha. Rudraksha takes birth as a blue skin fruit which later we have to remove. Rudraksha tree produces different Mukhi beads, usually 2 to 27 Mukhi. They all have their specific positive energy. 1 Mukhi Rudrakshas are only part of Puranic stories and myth. No tree produce 1 Mukhi Rudraksha, yes no tree. The story of the tree in Nepal, which produces three 1 Mukhi Rudraksha every year, is just a myth. What we buy from the market is Bhadrakhsa, which is sold as 1 Mukhi Rudraksha. 5 Mukhi Rudrakshas are found easily and abundantly. Other than 5 Mukhi 2,3,4,6 and 7 Mukhi also available easily so the price of these beads are not high.

Other than Mukha of Rudraksha there are four types of varna also. Whitish colour Rudraksha are of Brahmin varna, reddish Kshatriya, yellowish Vaisya and dark colour Rudraksha should be known as Sudra varna. A person should wear the Rudraksha of his varna. In case if does not get Rudraksha of his varna then only he should look for Rudraksha of another varna.

If you worship Shiva then wearing Rudraksha is compulsory. You can wear any Mukhi, it does not matter, when it comes to worship Lord Shiva. So no need to buy rare, expensive Rudraksha, they have a higher price not because they have some extraordinary effect which other Rudrakshas do not have but just because they are rare. So if you do not have some particular need, then 5 Mukhi Rudraksha alone will do the fine job.

Which Rudraksha we should not wear.

1- Which is crack avoid that Rudraksha
2- Which is contaminated by worms.
3- Whose surface is rather flat.
4- Which has spots.
5- Which is not of round shape.
